Grief is a universal experience, one that can overwhelm children as well as adults. When you lose a loved one, there are many feelings that may need to be processed – including but not limited to feelings of sorrow, loneliness, anger, guilt, regret, fear, and at times even relief.
Throughout therapy clients will be able to learn common reactions to loss, process their thoughts and feelings, gain skills to help them adjust to life without the physical presence of their loved one, learn coping strategies for managing challenging emotions, and find ways to continue to love and honor their loved one(s) in a way that allows them to move forward with life.
All of our mental health professionals have received specialized training in grief counseling and trauma and utilize evidence-based therapies to help clients reach their goals and find healing. Our grief counseling services are available for children, adolescents, and adults.
